The great stained glass window on the roof of the Palau de la Música Catalana is the core of the master Catalan stained glassmaker Antoni Rigalt i Blanch, built in 1907 in Barcelona, Catalonia. Eleven meters in diameter and twenty meters long is the largest horizontal stained glass window in Europe, with its 40 shades of blue and gold colors represents the Sun, and is the only European concert hall that is illuminated with natural light during the day. The Palau de la Música Catalana is a concert hall designed and built by the Catalan modernist architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner between 1905 and 1908. submitted by /u/delaVall |
