How to Make Your Own Nestlé-Style Butterfinger Candy Bars at Home

Look through the dessert recipes on any food blog and there’s a pretty good chance you’ll find something with chocolate and peanut butter. It’s one of the most common combinations in candy bars and other sweets (not that I’m complaining).

In the past, we’ve featured delicious homemade peanut butter cups and DIY peanut butter Kit Kats, but today is all about another chocolate-peanut-buttery treat—Butterfingers.

There are a bunch of recipes out there for homemade Nestlé Butterfinger bars, so we rounded up a few different versions to choose from. Some of them are super simple with only three ingredients, others are a little more complex. A few of them are even healthy(ish).

#1. Super Easy 3-Ingredient Butterfinger Bars

For these, all you need is peanut butter, chocolate, and an unexpected ingredient—candy corn. And you can make the whole thing in the microwave! Get the recipe on Kirbie’s Cravings.

#2. Crunchy Butterfinger Bars

For a texture that’s closer to an actual Butterfinger, you have to add some crunch. With one extra ingredient—crushed cereal—these have the same crispiness of the real thing. Get the recipe on Erica’s Sweet Tooth.

#3. Candy-Corn-Free Butterfinger Bars

If you hate candy corn, you can try this version instead. The candy corn is replaced with corn syrup and sugar, which also gives the bars a crunchy texture. Get the recipe on Babble.

#4. Vegan & Gluten-Free Butterfinger Bars

With a few substitutions, you can even make your Butterfinger bars vegan and gluten-free. Replace all the sugars with maple syrup or honey to make healthier homemade Butterfingers. Get the recipe on Natural Sweet Recipes.
