Samoa 🇼🇸 women are currently ranked at 49th (29 points) while PNG 🇵🇬 is currently the highest ranked associate team (ranked at 11th with 156 points). The difference of 38 positions and 127 points is the biggest I have seen in WT20Is. For comparison, when Vanuatu beat PNG in the same tournament two years ago, the gap was 114 points. Unfortunately for Samoa this win isn’t enough to extend their run in the EAP qualifiers.
