The Mark Twain House in Hartford CT (C. 1874)

A sentimental favorite of mine, visited it on a class trip and got the full house tour. I love how detailed and eclectic the house is, it’s a fascinating high gothic design with intricate stickwork, and legend says that it’s meant to resemble a riverboat. It’s almost jumbled looking in the best possible way, a really singular piece of architecture. I love seeing it in each season, they all seem to add their own unique perspective to it.
