This has been driving me nuts, so I’m hoping maybe there’s a term for it. What is it when outdoor things (i.e., towns, villages, cities) are simulated indoors? I’ve seen several examples in underground shelters, skilled nursing care facilities (like those for people with dementia/Alzheimer’s), hotels — they give me such an uncanny feeling and I’ve been searching for a potential term for it.
