When Dan Was the Man: The Vettori Story

Hey all, back with another long-read!

This time, I've taken a deep dive into Daniel Vettori's career, focusing particularly on his 08/09 purple patch, when he was New Zealand's best batter, best bowler, our captain, basically a player-coach, and a selector too.

As a little taste of what I found:

From 1997-2015 (Vettori's career span), across all formats: "He took more than twice as many wickets as the next most successful bowler during his time in the team, bowled more than three times as many overs, and still scored the eighth most runs, despite batting in the lower order."
